Hello... Anybody There?

It's been a while, I know. Been meaning to write or at least upload my vlogs on here. Yet it has been me chasing time. Me against procrastination. Getting over the apparent wall, called the writers block. And the bottom line is: belief, self assurance and trusting your inner self. And above all trusting in God.

For a while now, I have had the distinct urge to write, to document, to share my 2 cents with the world. Or a few who will somehow wonder onto this platform. So I decide right here, right now. To cut down dramatically my Netfliximg and chill time. And focus on my apparent calling. I have been put to the point of discomfort, when from time to time, I would hear deep from the inner realms of my being " write, go on, just write, you gotta write - now!"

Floating in and out of consciousness ideas and stories cry out to free themselves and be heard. Even if, just to seen by the write herself. Today I choose to brush aside the temporary discomfort of getting my writing groove back, I decide to remove the debris of self judgement and accept to lay one brick of self belief and trust, one at a time. Apparently writers are the most self critical individuals on planet earth. As it is, I have been in the process of writing this piece since the early hours of the 29th. And thanks to the distraction of a toddler in need of my fully And thanks to the distraction of a toddler in need of my full undivided attention, that 3 months on I am now continuing this blog post. And as I type, whilst breastfeeding, he is trying to nudge my hand off the key board and using his cuteness saying "hello", so that I keep my eyes on him not the screen.

I am glad to say, 3 months in. I have written a few blogs and created a couple of vlogs and many more in the process of editing. We have gone live with my parenting journal blog, which is called Mama Baba Beau Beau.

So goodbye procrastination. Hello productivity and meeting my deadlines.

Its all about just doing it in 2018. Its never to late.

...........  Its now June.  Even if it's 6 months down the line,  Still going to push through.  You know when you have written a wonderful and comprehensive email or word document then you turn around, and the computer switches off or you randomly loose your heart felt thoughts and feelings.  Well that happened to me and I guess that is why it has taken me 6 months to get back here any finish what I started.  However better late than never, right?

A lot has happened since I last popped by.  I had a little bean in the belly.  And the new human is almost 2 years old.  Every day is an adventure.  With so much to share and not much time to share it in.  I literally need to put off sleep, as I type its going for 2am, in order to fulfill the task at hand.

So life is busy, to say the least.  However I shall not loose sight of the targets and goals.  SO. deadlines, here I come!

When the sun bows out, with a smile

Nothing takes away the blow that hits your shallow pit of your stomach.  Closely followed by the stream of tears that involuntarily drip from your face. As I continuously and repeatedly moaned "No! No!" It can't be I thought out loud. I have just learnt that the mother of one of my best friends has passed away. What's upsetting is that a gentle shining star has been returned to her Creator. She was a woman of faith. Having been through the loss of one of her daughters recently, she stood in her faith and kept marching on. Through the pain of loss. She trusted and depended on the Author of her life. She was the one who told us off as we tried to go to places where we were not supposed to.  She never minced her words nor her opinions which were based on her faith. The same faith that we professed and tried to lead. But as teenagers, we thought she was cramping our style. Yet she tried to protect us. It's true we do not know the hour. Her hour came wi...

Sisters for life

My Big sis Gugu and my cousin Sne Letters to my sisters, I have decided to write these letters not only to stay in touch but also to play a role in your life as I am not close by for those moments of need, when you need someone to talk to, when you need a shoulder to cry and when you need a true friend.   These are letters are not only addressed to my physical sisters, but also to all women in general.   Especially those who are about to enter the next most important a crucial phase of their lives: adulthood.     I am hoping these letters will bridge the gap of the physical distance that separates us, presently.   Above all I hope these letters will ignite hope, confidence, self-belief and a living faith in the one who holds all things in His Hands. I promise not to judge you but to show you a sisterly love.   I promise not to criticize you, but to boost your confidence.   I promise not to put down with words that will create doubts, but to lift ...

Lowest Point

Have you ever reached a point in your life when you have felt like it just cannot get any worse, when you feel you have reached rock bottom. Well that is the phase that I am currently going through at this present moment. Bear with me as I attempt to fill you in. Well it all begun about 4 weeks ago when I went into work one Tuesday, I worked for a concession within a Mega clothing Store in Oxford Circus. I had just come back a day before from a lovely chilled out week long break I was feeling refreshed, energised and ready to face the challenges of working in the hectic environment that I worked in. A liitle background on what I was doing at this particular job, well I was kind of in charge of the concession because I worked full time, so if anything went wronge it would all go onto my head. I I started the long day at 8:30am and had to finish at 6pm but most of the time I clocked out at 6:20-6:30pm. I don't mind hard work but working under stressful environment was what I had t...
