The Best Detox Programme ever

So after much long deliberation and little bit of resistence on my side. We have decided to take a plunge into doing the infamous mentally challenging detox programme called The Master Cleanse.

I have done it 3 times before. The first two times were a huge success. The last attempt, was an attempt at best. I barely lasted four days!

The mental challenge is due to the fact that one literally has no solid food for at least 10 days. The only form of energy comes solely from the lemonade mix. This mix is compiled of fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and water. This lemonade mix is delicious compared to the other rituals that go along side by side with this detox programme.

The first 4 days are the most challenging. As one experiences food withdrawal symptoms. Such as the increased acute smelling capability.  The art of smelling every sublime and delish aroma even if it's a mile away!

Unlike the 3 times times I have done the cleanse, this time around I have decided to ease into the Master cleanse. This way I have a better chance of following through as i am steadily preparing my mind to the idea of a liquid only diet.

Today i will spend all day on a liquid diet of water, tea, orange juice and home made juice. The home made juice is a mix of apples, cucumber, celery and mint leaves.

The funny thing is since my husband and I began the easing in session on Monday, I have gone off food a little.  My mind has decided to limit my intake of food. It's interesting how our subconscious minds work.

I shall be keeping you in the loop with the development o the upcoming days, the highs,  lows and the not so good moments. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to go ahead and enter it below?

In the  next days I will share with you the following:
1. Why I have decided to delve into this crazy detox.
2. How to prepare for The Master Cleanse
3. Who is the Master Cleanse for
4. The recipes for the lemonade mix and my juice recipes
5. I will share my previous before and after pics of my previous clean sessions
6. Hints and tips

Habits

There are good habits and there are bad habits.  Most of the time it's the bad habits that tend to infiltrate into our daily routines and they seem to stock to you stonger than superglue.  To take themout of your life takes more energy and determination than you can imagine. I read an article about habits in the Monthly FIA magazine which spoke about a young chap called Stefan who had struggled with a drinking problem for years.  His other bad habit was jumping from one girl to the next, as soon as he got what he wanted, he would move onto his next conquest. When he decided to change his habits, he realised that he had to change his environment first.  So he took a drastic decision of moving from sunny St Lucia to the icy cold England.  Leaving behind all his friends helped because they would have easily influenced him to go back to the destructive cycle of drinking and womanizing. You might be thinking well my bad habit does not hurt anyone.  I just arr...

Hello... Anybody There?

It's been a while, I know. Been meaning to write or at least upload my vlogs on here. Yet it has been me chasing time. Me against procrastination. Getting over the apparent wall, called the writers block. And the bottom line is: belief, self assurance and trusting your inner self. And above all trusting in God. For a while now, I have had the distinct urge to write, to document, to share my 2 cents with the world. Or a few who will somehow wonder onto this platform. So I decide right here, right now. To cut down dramatically my Netfliximg and chill time. And focus on my apparent calling. I have been put to the point of discomfort, when from time to time, I would hear deep from the inner realms of my being " write, go on, just write, you gotta write - now!"  Floating in and out of consciousness ideas and stories cry out to free themselves and be heard. Even if, just to seen by the write herself. Today I choose to brush aside the temporary discomfort of getting my w...

L I G H T

9/1/18 The above is the date when I wrote the first 3 and a half paragraphs.  As you might have read already.  I am trying to play catch up or clean up which ever way you may prefer to look at it. So months ago I wrote the following: Let there be light. The words spoken by God when we created heaven and earth. It's Monday been stuck indoors with a strong willed, independent, yet dependent 17 month old. This Monday, felt like a gloomy Monday, the kind of strangely grey foggy day.  The kind of grey that you, "can't shake off that sleepy feeling off" kind of Monday. Back in 2017, around the beginning of it actually, I had this kind of Monday on repeat for almost a week. So it felt a bit like dejavu. This is how a grey day looks like. One wakes up and gets swallowed up by chores, things to do, look after baby or babies, try to get a shower and use the toilet (yes, take a dump in peace and quite), make and eat food before the baby wakes up. And if love have a littl...
