My Master Cleanse Challenge: DAY 2.....

Woke up early because of my rumbling tummy, at 6am.  Every night you have to drink a laxative tea, I'm drinking Senna Leaf Puritee.  To my surprise nothing happened (number 2 -wise), so went back to sleep.  When I finally woke up an hour an half later, I was feeling so weak! I could barely walk up and down the stairs.  I painfully watched my husband enjoy his fragrant toast and polony. It was torture. To ease my mind off solid food I decided to take a nap.  Woke up a couple of hours later and I was extra exhausted.  Lunch time, I made the lemonade concoction.  I felt a bit better, yet not completely.  I had already made my other half aware that I won't be able to cook this week, or else I would be tempted.  However I against my own judgement I decided to cook him a quick lunch (I just felt a bit guilty- for not cooking for him).  Just the smell of the kidney bean stew caused my tummy to leap for a bowl. Ekhaya, a South African home away from Home

The Commonwealth games have kicked off in Glasgow last night. As usual the South african team has a home away from home. Ekhaya is back! Located at the Trades Halls in Glasgow in Glassford Street. Bra Huge Masekela opened Ekhaya last night.   These are some of the acts lined up to perform over the next 11 days: the soil, Vusi Mahlasela, Mahotela Queens, Freshly ground and more. Share and forward my blogs link. This is where I will update the info regarding Ekhaya and commonwealth games. Whichever part of Uk you are in, do you utmost best to catch Ekhaya at some point in the next 11 days, you will not regret it. Ekhaya 2012 was awesome, the community spirit, the laughter, the networking and connecting with new friends and the Live entertainment was memorable and uplifting. I was reminded, once more, why I am proudly South African.

The Detox - Day 5:-))

Yes, I have changed the title of these entries to "The Detox", cause I have run out of maple syrup today.  So how can it be a master cleanse without the lemonade drink, right?  I already feel GREAT!  Even though I didn't really stick to it to the tee.  I'm still proud of myself for being determined into detoxing, cutting off certain foods and not eating carby foods after 6pm. I have already started seeing the effects of my effort.  My size 10 skirts still don't fit yet, but mentally I'm feeling superb.  I never thought I could not eat anything without a carb, especially my beloved bread.  But I have hung in there.  I was doing my shopping the other day and eyes lingered on the frozen fries section.  However because I have a goal, I will abstain from all unnecessary fattening foods and I will stick to the rules of the Anna Richardsons, Body Blitz: 1.  No wheat (cakes, pastries etc.), 2. No Diary (apart from the ...
