Forever and ever

The past 3 days have been very laid back and relaxing, its like a continuous weekend! I enjoyed that for sure and Im sure everyone else did. But I so wish that I was around my family - my sisters and my parents. The thing is I am miles away they are in South Africa and I am in the UK!!! Its just sooo sad -there are so many things that are going down back home and I am not THERE!! For instance there are 3 new additions in my family- of 2 girls and 1 boy and they have never laid eyes on me. I'm sure when I go home for a visit they will be like 'who the heck are you??' I wouldn't blame them you know, I haven't been home for almost two years now. I know, I know that is a long time and I am promising myself that it is the first and last time that I am staying away from home for such a long period of time. I have actually spoken to people who haven't been to their home countries for over 6 years on end!! It's really sad because they are missing out on so much and they don't even realise it.

What I miss from Mzansi besides my family is the beach, my relatives, people of SA and the fab food!! South Afican food has so much variety mainly because we have so many differnet cultures and many different native tribes on top of that we have 11 official languages! I only know 4 of out of the 11 but I am fluent in only 2. "Mental note-have to be fluent, "in the other 2 languages".

Going back to why we have been able to chill at home and be off from work on Friday and Monday (except for few that had to work on those holidays, sorry mates). It is because thousands of years ago there was a man who changed history and literally changed the calender. When He died that's when the calender was restarted - nobody's death has ever had the same effect on the whole world like Him.

The best part of all He didn't do what he did for himself but for the human race those who would accept what he did and then live in His footsteps. Do you know what will happen to you when you die?? Or you don't even think about death at all -- because it brings the chills down your spine or perhaps you think you are too young to die. Whatever your beliefs or theories about what happens after death. There is one reliable source for the confirmation of where you will spend the rest of eternity and you know what I don't deserve it but it is a Gift from Him who changed Time and the calender we use.

Its all in your hands. Where do you want to spend eternity? Or are you taking the risk of waiting until you die and then you see what will happen??

Where to, from here? -> The Wall

We're right at the beginning of the new year. You should be looking forward to it but you're not. You should be making some major changes that are so lacking in your character, but you're not. You should be taking the all important steps to bring stability and wipe away those debts but you don't. I hear you, it is not because you don't want to change things but you go on to explain that it's because you still don't have the tools to make the wrong in your life right. Last year you tried against all odd, eventhough you didn't have the so called tools or means to succeed, but you tried. You pulled yourself together and decided to change your LIFE! You had so much energy, so much drive. You had a few victories and these steered you on. Until, you came acoss some obtacles, you tried to look for the solution - to make this change happen- but none was within your reach. You knocked on doors until your knuckles turned white and bruised with fustration - mor...

Habits

There are good habits and there are bad habits.  Most of the time it's the bad habits that tend to infiltrate into our daily routines and they seem to stock to you stonger than superglue.  To take themout of your life takes more energy and determination than you can imagine. I read an article about habits in the Monthly FIA magazine which spoke about a young chap called Stefan who had struggled with a drinking problem for years.  His other bad habit was jumping from one girl to the next, as soon as he got what he wanted, he would move onto his next conquest. When he decided to change his habits, he realised that he had to change his environment first.  So he took a drastic decision of moving from sunny St Lucia to the icy cold England.  Leaving behind all his friends helped because they would have easily influenced him to go back to the destructive cycle of drinking and womanizing. You might be thinking well my bad habit does not hurt anyone.  I just arr...

Hello... Anybody There?

It's been a while, I know. Been meaning to write or at least upload my vlogs on here. Yet it has been me chasing time. Me against procrastination. Getting over the apparent wall, called the writers block. And the bottom line is: belief, self assurance and trusting your inner self. And above all trusting in God. For a while now, I have had the distinct urge to write, to document, to share my 2 cents with the world. Or a few who will somehow wonder onto this platform. So I decide right here, right now. To cut down dramatically my Netfliximg and chill time. And focus on my apparent calling. I have been put to the point of discomfort, when from time to time, I would hear deep from the inner realms of my being " write, go on, just write, you gotta write - now!"  Floating in and out of consciousness ideas and stories cry out to free themselves and be heard. Even if, just to seen by the write herself. Today I choose to brush aside the temporary discomfort of getting my w...
